Dark Sky Party Sisters, Oregon
an international Dark Sky City
Friday July 25, 2025 9pm
The party starts with a one-hour Stargazing Tour from Starshine, during which you'll enjoy the brilliance of Central Oregon's incredible night sky together with a local naturalist and educator. You'll hear an ancient story about the stars, locate constellations, and see visible planets, the moon, and other astronomical objects. Each group will receive and learn how to use a sky map, specialized to the month of viewing.
Stay after the tour for a glimpse at the deep sky with Sisters Astronomy Club volunteers, who will share their telescopes and knowledge!
"Fabulous, intimate evening with the stars. Educational, cosmic, and rejuvenating to lie on blankets in the grass with other stargazers and look up at the sky together." ~Jennifer, 2024
