Performance Troupe

Grades 3-7

Kids learn and hone theater skills, then apply them to create a one-act scripted play. Theater skills we’ll learn include movement, voice, character building, focus and concentration, as well as sensory and emotional awareness. We’ll also spend time designing costumes and promoting our show.

"Starshine's theater offerings have been transformative for my daughter. She developed improvisation, acting and voice skills but most importantly she increased her confidence and sense of belonging in the local community. I am so grateful that Starshine exists to fill the gap in theater arts programming here in Sisters. 10/10 recommend!"~Emily (2025)

"Jennie does such a great job with all the kid-energy!" ~ Emily 2022

A Weekend Mystery.jpg

2025

What begins as a casual weekend in the country, quickly becomes mysterious. The host drops hints that this will be an event unlike any other. Once the guests are seated for dinner, the lights go out and something is stolen! The group splits up to search the house for the missing object and missing guests. The play ends with a twist to the mystery.

("A Weekend Mystery" is a short play we found on our favorite kids theater resource: Drama Notebook.)
