Yes! Please contact us to get on a waitlist. It is possible to get off the waitlist. We may even open new sessions if there is a big interest! Should a space open, everyone on the waitlist gets an equal opportunity to sign up. We will send an email to everyone on the waitlist and open the space online. The first person to register gets the spot. If you have a more urgent need to register, for instance if there isn't space for all members of a family, please contact us to alert us to your special situation.

Participants of summer camps and theater classes may apply for a scholarship. These funds are limited and available on a case by case basis.
To apply, see our scholarships page.
Other scholarships are also available available:
Sisters School District students in grades 6+ can apply for scholarships through the Roundhouse Foundation.

First and foremost, to prevent harm we choose activities that are appropriate to the developmental needs of the designated age group.
We train staff how to follow and implement our health and safety policies.
Each guide is equipped with first aid kit and First Aid & CPR and/or Lifeguard certification.
Lifeguards are equipped with required equipment.
Guides review health and safety protocols and first aid procedures regularly.
When engaging in activities that could lead to injury or death, guides are vigilant and communicate appropriate safety guidelines and boundaries to participants.
Guides provide special supports for some participants based on need. Communicate any safety considerations for your participant via text/email or on the registration form prior to start of a program.
Participants who do not follow safety guidelines communicated by guides may not be able to participate in some activities.
If an accident or injury occurs, guides will address the injury with standard first aid protocols recommended by the American Red Cross to responders of their certification level. In the event of serious injury, 911 emergency will be called.
Minor participants are only released from Starshine's care to parents/guardians or person with written permission from parent/guardian to pick up. (Please indicate via text/email or on the registration form).
Starshine maintains a policy of confidentiality for participants and their families private information.
Starshine will only use a participant's likeness in promotional materials with written permission from the participant or parent/guardian.
For programs at The Suttle Lodge, staff are on hand to assist in case of emergency.
Participants who are sick with fever greater than 100.4 or vomiting within 24 hours of start of a session are requested to stay home and not participate.
If fever, vomiting, or other severe health symptoms that inhibit participation arise during the session, parents/guardians are contacted and may need to pick up their child prior to the end of the session. If parents/guardians are not available, emergency contact is contacted.
We craft an environment that supports respect for self, others, and environment, and our community. We use preventative measures to ensure that all participants sustain a positive environment throughout. If a participant repeatedly breaks rules, we may check in with this participant one-on-one during a break period near the group. We involve parents/guardians if actions include bullying or violent acts, or other disrespectful behaviors.
