Play with Starshine in the gorgeous outdoor setting at Suttle Lake!

Camp Basics

Starshine camp activities blend nature, imagination, and performance. Kids will go on scavenger hunts, catch bugs, create fun characters, build fairy houses, listen to and tell stories, sing campfire songs, and more! Campers will create a "Suttle Circus," learning different circus acts during the week,

like joke-telling, juggling, magic tricks, clowning, hoola-hooping, and an imaginary

Themes & Activities

We’ll bond and have fun as a group!

  • team-building games

  • splashing in the lake everyday at lunchtime (only up to our knees)

We’ll go on whimsical quests in the natural area around Suttle Lake with the

spirit of fantasy, dreams, and fairy tales. 

  • build fairy castles and gnome homes

  • dress up and perform as imaginary characters 

  • create a skit and perform it on a stage

We’ll get wild with the wildlife around Suttle Lake as we learn about and

perform as animals.

  • wildlife scavenger hunt

  • learn animal language

  • animal storytelling

  • camouflage, stalking, and tracking

  • pretend we are wild animals

  • perform a menagerie act

We'll get silly as we clown around the natural area and create our own Suttle Circus. 

  • comedy, joke telling

  • juggling

  • miming

  • clowning

  • magic tricks

  • basic acrobatics

We'll take a break to attune to the calming waters of the lake as we listen to,

reflect, and revel in the natural beauty of Suttle Lake.

Day Pack List

Please make sure your child comes to camp each day with:

  • appropriate outdoor clothing according to the weather

  • an extra warm layer (mornings can be chilly on the lake!)

  • a water bottle

  • durable shoes

  • sunscreen/hat

  • a snack and lunch (kids are not allowed to purchase food at Suttle Lodge during camp hours)

  • optional: a bathing suit and towel (we will play in the lake in water as deep as our knees, but no swimming)

Cancelation Policy

Tuition will be fully refunded until three weeks before the program start date. After that time 50% refund is guaranteed. In the event that camp must close due to staff illness, wildfire danger, hazardous air conditions due to smoke, or other unforeseen circumstances families will be notified asap. If desired, a 50% refund will be granted. 

Response to COVID-19

Starshine, LLC. will adhere to all current Oregon state guidelines. At this time masks are not required for participants in an outdoor setting, but required when inside. All programs will take place outdoors except in the case of inclement weather.  The instructor has been vaccinated and boosted
